Wireline Drill Rods
Our wireline drill rods are manufactured from the highest quality raw materials, i.e. cold drawn carbon seamless steel tubes of grade SAE 1541 / SAE 4130 / SAE 5130. These tubes have extremely high mechanical properties, and straightness better than 1:2500 (geotechnical grade) or 1:5000 (mining grade).
All rods are supplied with heat treated rod ends, hardened to 30 – 35 Rockwell throughout the wall thickness to a length of 200mm.
As an option for very demanding applications, the threads may also be induction case hardened to 50 – 55 Rockwell to a depth of 1mm (box thread) or 0.5mm (pin thread).
Standard rod lengths are 1.5m or 3.0m, but other lengths can be supplied on request.
